Join us in welcoming Gérôme Truc, (France, Center for the Study of Social Movements at EHESS, the Institute for Advanced Study in the Social Sciences, CNRS) for his talk “From NY to Paris: Public Space and Social Reactions to Terrorist attacks”.

The event will be on October 13, 2016 from 11:00am to 1:00pm, in room 6304.01 of the Graduate Center, CUNY.

Gérôme Truc studies the public’s reactions to terrorist attacks, and moral and political sensibilities in contemporary society . He is the author the book “Sidérations. Une sociologie des attentats” (Shock: a Sociology of Attacks.)
